The power of fake science I suppose.<\/p>\n

So much interest – in fact –\u00a0that one of our readers, Ben Bayliss, deployed his\u00a0outstanding analytical skills to develop a scientific model that allows each person – given certain attributes – to identify and locate the traits of his or her love match.<\/p>\n

Not only, we are now able to\u00a0predict the probability of a successful love union by entering just some information on a simple spreadsheet model.<\/p>\n

When I say simple, I mean simple to use.\u00a0 The sophistication and precision of the work\u00a0started by Bayliss, consistent with the scientific (fake) approach I designed, is actually very complex.<\/p>\n

It is therefore with pleasure that I introduce this magnificent tool, the Love Calculator Model, to the readers of JcBits blog.<\/p>\n

The attached\u00a0spreadsheet is a precursor of a much more ambitious project, the Love Calculator Machine.\u00a0 A few of us are working on this tool, probably a mobile app, which will be the definitive answer to all love match questions and will integrate the science of first name compatibility and perfect age gap with the ancient knowledge of the Zodiac and of the Chinese Horoscope.<\/p>\n

I digress, that is something for the future.<\/p>\n

What is here and now is the Love Calculator Model.<\/p>\n

Anyone can use it by JCBits Love Calculator Model final<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A few explanation of how it works using the screen shots below.<\/p>\n

When you open the spreadsheet, you are welcomed by a standard screen.<\/p>\n

On the left, there are a few fields you need to fill yourself; the model asks for your first name, your year of birth, you gender, your sexual preference (and yes we have thought about also gay and bisexual tendencies) and finally your country of residence.\u00a0 On this last area for now the model only considers Australia and the USA, we are adding more countries to the mobile app.\u00a0 For those not in the US, I would suggest to use Australia as a proxy.<\/p>\n

Apart from the field on name (which is totally free), I recommend to the enter the data using the scroll down window to the side of the relevant cell, as described in the picture below.<\/p>\n

Well, this is it. Once you have entered your data, the magic of the JCBits Love Calculator Model comes alive.\u00a0 You are provided with a series of helpful information, such as the initial of the partner most compatible to you,\u00a0a quantification of the chance of finding partners compatible to you, and\u00a0an estimate of\u00a0the strength of your competition (frequency of your name’s initial in the population).<\/p>\n

Finally, the most important score of all: Your own Love Calculator score, which is also assessed verbally.\u00a0 The closer\u00a0you are to 1 the best are your chances!\u00a0 I scored – as you can see below – a whopping 80% which makes me, according to the\u00a0Model, a “Hot Tamale”\u00a0 whatever that\u00a0means…<\/p>\n
